Jehoel

Jehoel (Hebrew יהואל, also called Jahoel, Shemuel, Kemuel, and Yaoel) in Jewish Angelology^[1] is a member of the Angels of Presence, who mediates the ineffable name of God (see Tetragrammaton). The name Jehoel may have been an early form of Metatron. Jehoel is said to be the chief angel of the Seraphim,^[2] and governs heavenly singing. He is responsible for holding in check Leviathan,^[3] the monster of evil who will swallow the souls of sinners on Judgement Day.^[4]
